 Azeri soldiers uninstructed in weapon handling? December 6, 2011 - 18:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A soldier of the Azerbaijani army shot himself with his service weapon. The incident was recorded in Azerbaijan Defense Ministry’s military unit situated in Gedebey. Azeri army soldier, Shahmar Ali Shirinov, 18, opened fire from the service weapon during his post, wounding himself in the leg. The solder was taken to a hospital, with his reported as satisfactory. He was drafted from Neftchala Region Military Commissariat in 2011. Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry, Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu confirmed the fact, noting casual handling of weapon as the reason behind the incident, APA reported.
