  Eduard Sharmazanov elected as vice speaker of parliament December 6, 2011 - 21:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominee, former secretary of RPA faction Eduard Sharmazanov was elected Armenian National Assembly’s vice speaker. During the secret ballot, Sharmazanov’s candidacy was supported by 92 votes, while Heritage opposition party candidate Armen Martirosyan received 6 votes. Following his election, Sharmazanov thanked his supporters for his nomination and participation in the ballot, pledging to justify the trust he was extended “in advance.”   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
