Heritage isn’t solely responsible for lack of unity in opposition – party leader

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of Heritage opposition party explained the reason of lack of alliance between his party and the Armenian National Congress (ANC).

According to Raffi Hovannisian, events of 2011 showed that a number of ANC leaders are not inclined to an alliance with Heritage as the latter has a different stand on domestic democracy and foreign policy issues.

Dwelling on cooperation, Hovannisian noted that both with its parliamentary and non-parliamentary activity Heritage has proved its being a reliable cooperation partner.

“Some of Heritage members should not have made certain remarks, however our party is not solely responsible for escalation of tensions and lack of unity within the Armenian opposition,” Hovannisian stated.
