Catherine Ashton: EU interested in formation of Eurasian Union

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Union is interested in the idea of formation of Eurasian Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said.

Baroness Catherine Ashton told Komemrsant that they discussed the issue with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov in Moscow. According to her, the issue will probably be discussed at the Russia-EU summit in Brussels.

“We continue strengthening our relations with Russia and Kazakhstan through conclusion of agreements which provide a new and firm basis for cooperation,” she said.
