Obama and Medvedev had a phone conversation on Friday. Obama congratulated the Russian leader on Russia’s admission to the World Trade Organization and voiced the United States’ plan to continue mutually beneficial cooperation. “The two presidents said they looked forward to meeting next at the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, South Korea in March 2012,” Carney said in a statement. Obama and Medvedev last met on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Hawaii in November 2011.
