Russia, Iran not in talks on construction of Bushehr NPP new units - RosatomDecember 19, 2011 - 10:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia and Iran do not hold talks for construction of new power-generating units of Bushehr nuclear power plant, the head of Rosatom said. “We have not negotiated the issue so far,” Sergey Kiriyenko said, stressing that the Iranian side merely expressed a wish regarding construction of new units, RIA Novosti reported. Kiriyenko said Rosatom acts on the premise that completion of works on NPP’s first unit and ensuring it’s 100 percent working capacity is the foremost necessity. He refrained from commenting on possible negotiations over new units construction after accomplishment of the current stage.
