Turkey says 20 PKK members killed in country’s southeastDecember 19, 2011 - 16:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish security forces killed 20 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in a mass operation carried out Monday, December 19, in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, Today’s Zaman reports citing Cihan news agency. The helicopter-backed ground operation reportedly conducted by gendarmerie and police special operations teams concentrate on the Görese Mountain located near Diyarbakır's Dicle district. Cihan reported there are nearly 50 PKK members in the region and that the operation is still underway. Another 10 PKK rebels were killed in an operation in the same region on Saturday. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
