Armenia already preparing for spring sowing

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the December 22 meeting, the Armenian government resolved to allocate AMD 1 bln to RA Ministry of Agriculture.

According to Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, the assigned funds will be spent on purchase of fertilizers, which will be sold to villagers at AMD 120 per 1 kg, with one sack costing AMD 6000.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, in turn, noted 14% growth in the country’s agriculture.

“We are already getting ready for spring sowing, trying to retain the growth rate in 2012,” he said.
