Israeli MP deems Armenians use Genocide for political purposes

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan-Israel International Association board member Yana Salman voiced her position during Knesset Committee sitting on the issue of Armenian Genocide recognition,

According to her, Armenians use events dating back to the beginning of the 20th century for political purposes, Israeli media reported.

Salman further attributed Armenian massacres to “Armenian-Turkish hostilities and Turkey’s decision to expel Armenians due to their de facto being a "fifth column".”

Today, Dec. 26, Knesset Committee for Education, Culture and Sports is debating the issue of introduction of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Though the proposal was voiced eight months ago its debate was delayed to December 26.
