  Turkish President unwilling to accept Genocide bill adoption  December 28, 2011 - 16:26 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish President views adoption of the bill criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial by the French National Assembly as a mistake. According to Abdullah Gül, the passage of the draft law will only have negative impact on Armenia-Turkey reconciliation process. “None of the parties benefits from the current situation,” Turkish media quoted Gül as saying. Turkish President further expressed hope for France to redress its prior mistakes. On December 22, On December 22, French National Assembly passed the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial. The draft law envisages a year in jail and a fine of 45,000 euros for those who publicly deny the Armenian Genocide in France.
