Azerbaijan, Turkey to form joint enterprise for defense goods export![]() December 28, 2011 - 18:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan and Turkey plan to establish joint venture for defense goods export, Turkey’s Machinery and Chemistry Enterprise (MKEK) stated. The issue has been on agenda since the last year, with proposals made currently reviewed by Turkey’s Defence Industry Secretariat and Azeri Ministry of Defense Industry. The final decision will be pased next year. MKEK said the company to be formed will export defense goods produced by the Turkish and Azerbaijani defence industries. In the next stage, the enterprise will act as mediator for other companies to sell their production. The enterprise will study foreign markets, organize marketing and join tenders in Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries. Over the last 2 years, MKEK and Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry signed several agreements on export of arms and ammunitions, APA reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
