Ban Ki-moon extended his sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families of the victims as well as to the Government and people of Syria. “The Secretary-General remains gravely concerned at the deteriorating situation in Syria, where thousands have lost their lives since March and people continue to be killed on a daily basis. He reiterates that all violence is unacceptable and must stop,” UN official website said.
