Arab League observers attacked in Syria

PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of Arab League observers in Syria has been attacked and two monitors from Kuwait have been lightly injured, AP reports citing Kuwait's official news agency.

The state-run KUNA says the observers were attacked in the northern city of Latakia by "unknown protesters" on Monday Jan 9.

The report Tuesday did not detail their injuries. It says the monitors injured are both Kuwaiti army officers. They were taken to the hospital, but have since returned to work at the Arab mission's headquarters in Damascus.
