ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MET WITH FM OF IRELAND ACCEPTING PRESIDENCY IN EU

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian FM Vardan Oskanian held a meeting with his Irish associate Brian Cowen within the framework of the 113-th expanded sitting of the Committee of foreign ministers of the Council of Europe that took place in Kishinev. As reported by the press service of the Armenian MFA, beginning with January 2004 Ireland will take up presidency in the European Union. In the course of the talks the FMs discussed the issues regarding Armenia-EU relations, the Nagorno Karabakh problem, Armenian-Turkish relations as well as the role the EU can play in contributing to the regional cooperation.
