  Expert: presidential statement implies Karabakh status quo maintenance  January 23, 2012 - 15:46 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Statement by Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan based on the outcomes of trilateral meeting in Sochi implies maintenance status quo in Nagorno Karabakh, according to deputy director of Caucasus Institute. “The forthcoming meetings will apparently aim to alleviate contact line tensions,” Sergey Minasyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Dwelling on Presidents’ statement on normalization of ties in public and scientific circles, Minasyan noted that “Yerevan-Moscow-Baku joint public events should be expected in the future.”   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
