Artsakh President hails Stepanakert airport construction works January 24, 2012 - 18:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 24, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the Stepanakert airport, familiarized himself with the ongoing work on site and convoked a working consultation on issues related to putting the airport into operation. Head of the NKR Civil Aviation Department Dmitriy Adbashyan, representatives of the department and the airport delivered reports on the works carried out in 2011. Bako Sahakyan further expressed satisfaction with the activities promoted stressing the need to maintain the pace and quality of the works. Artsakh President noted that the airport is of paramount strategic importance to the republic and putting it into operation will positively affect the country’s socioeconomic development.
