Armenia’s economic activity index grows by 5,9% in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - A 6,1% growth in economic activity index in Armenia in December 2011 was reported as compared to the same period in 2010, with January-December 2011 index to gross 5,9%.

According to the National Statistical Service, the economic activity index totalled 15% in December compared to November 2011. Inflation in January-December 2011 comprised 7,7% against the same period in 2010. Consumer prices grew by 2,5% in December against November 2011.

The national budget envisages 4,6% GDP growth and 4% (±1,5%) inflation for 2011.
