The author was awarded "Certificate of Merits" for photographs "After Operation" (81 points), portraits of actor Gurgen Janibekian and sculptor Yervand Kochar (80 points each). R. Hambartsumian's works have successfully been exhibited in New York, Pasadena and Washington before.
