British companies interested in investing in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with joint ambassadors of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia Jonathan James Avesand Katherine Jane Leach.

PM Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to deepening of ties with Great Britain.

“Though Armenia has no oil deposits, it has other more important resources such as human capital,” Prime Minister said, calling on British diplomacy to secure balanced approach in the region.

Tigran Sargsyan further expressed hope for Armenia’s economic sectors to attract British investments, which will give new impetus to bilateral cooperation.

The ambassadors, in turn, noted metal mining industry and IT sector among the fields that may boost British investment flow to Armenia.

The parties further focused on different fields of Armenian economy, as well as culture-related issues and Armenia-EU relations.
