ISTANBUL ARMENIAN PATRIARCH AND US AMBASSADOR DISCUSSED CONDITION OF ARMENIANS IN TURKEY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mesrob II, Armenian Patriarch of Istanbul and all Turkey, and new U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Eric S. Edelman yesterday discussed the condition of the Armenian Church and community in Turkey. Mesrob II assured the ambassador that spiritual leaders of the Armenian community of Turkey are committed to reconciliatory efforts between the peoples and governments of Turkey and Armenia. The parties also shared views over the situation in the Fertile Crescent and Iraq, the Istanbul Armenian Patriarchate reported.
