PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian internet users call for typing only in Armenian letters, announcing February 7 Armenian typing day in the Internet.

“The day was chosen quite by chance, the idea struck me a few days ago,” the initiator, Zohrab Yeganyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Through support of other internet users, Yeganyan is making attempts to transfer the initiative to different social networks such as Facebook, Odnoklassniki and mass media.

“This is a serious problem that relevant authorities should address. It may result in illiteracy. Culture is both maintained and lost through small steps,” the activist said.
