  Vladimir Akopian, Hrant Melkumyan to participate in Aeroflot Open February 6, 2012 - 13:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 7, Aeroflot Open Chess Festival 2012 kicks off in Moscow, with Vladimir Akopian and Hrant Melkumyan representing Armenia at Tournament A. About 10 Armenian chess players will perform in tournaments B and C. The last competition day of the festival is scheduled for February 17. The festival prize fund totals 125.000 euro. The three tournaments (A, B, C) will be held in 9 rounds in line with contenders’ ranking points. Rankings above 2550 are required for the tournament group A, which usually brings together extra class chess players.
