Oud player Georges Kazazian to perform at Cairo event Feb 18February 16, 2012 - 17:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Georges Kazazian, Cairo-born composer and oud player of Armenian decent, to perform at the Culture wheel event in the Egyptian capital on Saturday February 18, Ahram Online reported. Kazazian has performed at some of the most prestigious festivals around the world and has composed several tracks for films, such as Hunger by Ali Badrakhan, Kaher El-Zaman by Kamal El Sheikh and Wife of an Important Man by Mohamed Khan. His music is worldly, yet with an oriental feel. Kazazian describes his music as "Egyptian Jazz." His albums include Sabil (1991), Sagate (1997), Sajaya (1997), Nil Sangit (1999), Sawt "al Ganûb" (1999), Monaga (2001), Azraq (2002), Dayra Jazz (2002), Neel Dhun (2008) and Zafir (2008).
