NATO secretary general to visit Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATO secretary general will visit Turkey to mark the 60th anniversary of Turkey's NATO membership, Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, February 16, World Bulletin reported.

A ministry statement said that Anders Fogh Rasmussen's visit to Turkey would begin later on Thursday and last for two days.

Rasmussen will meet Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, and is expected to attend a joint meeting of members of Turkish Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees and NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Turkish Group.

President Abdullah Gul will receive Rasmussen, who is also set to deliver a speech at a panel discussion to be organized by Turkish Atlantic Council Association.
