WB Country Manager urges Armenia to expedite reform implementationFebruary 17, 2012 - 15:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia should speed up implementation of tax administration reforms to advance its positions in World Bank’s Doing Business report, according to the World Bank Country Manager for Armenia. “Armenia still faces serious restrictions as to fostering world trade and logistics,” Jean-Michel Happi said. “Nevertheless, the fact that Armenia improved its positions in WB Doing Business-2012 puts it in line with other countries with favorable business environment,” WB Country Manager for Armenia said. In this context, he noted that Armenia showed unsatisfactory results in terms of electricity tariffs last year. “This is one of the key areas of activity Armenia must target to further achieve advancements in WB report,” Jean-Michel Happi said.
