  Saakashvil: Azeri President is historical figure for Georgia February 17, 2012 - 19:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with Turkish Economy Minster Zafer Çağlayan and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev. Saakashvili highlighted the special role “Azerbaijan plays in development of regional cooperation,” noting that Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev is a historical figure for Azerbaijan. Prospects of expanding economic ties between the three countries was also in focus of the meeting, according to Azerbaijan Press Association.
