Artsakh celebrates Revival Day

PanARMENIAN.Net - Artsakh celebrates the Revival Day on February 20.

Speaking before his compatriots, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan said: “February 20, 1988 has been written in golden letters in our new history, becoming one of the most glorious pages of the Artsakh national-liberation movement chronicle.”

“Being unshakable in the their decision, the proud people of Artsakh, together with Armenia and the world spread Armenians managed to confront the tough war imposed by Azerbaijan and embark on the path of building an independent statehood,” the presidential press service quoted Sahakyan as saying.

“Guided by universal norms of international law, we realized our natural right to self-determination and took our worthy place in regional and international processes. Step-by-step, the state government system, free market economy and democratic institutions were being established,” Artsakh President said.

“Today we can state that we have a steadily developing state, regular and efficient army, and healthy civil society,” he concluded.
