EU launches free trade zone formation talks with ArmeniaFebruary 20, 2012 - 19:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Union begins talks with Armenia on formation of free trade zones aimed at boosting investments in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) member-states. The talks will cover issues related to creation of transparent and modern trade environment, EU press service reported. "The opening of free trade negotiations marks a turning point in our trade relations with Armenia. We are entering a new phase that will bring our economic ties to a new level of depth and ambition", EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht said. "This is a further sign of the strengthening of our political and economic ties," Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle stated.
