EU sources name Syrian ministers to be sanctionedFebruary 24, 2012 - 17:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - European diplomatic sources on Friday, February 24 named the seven Syrian ministers who are the target of new sanctions that the European Union plans to impose against the Syrian government over its deadly crackdown on dissent, M&C reported citing DPA. Travel bans and asset freezes will be imposed on the ministers of health, education, presidential affairs, communications and technology, oil and mineral resources, industry, and transport. EU foreign ministers are expected on Monday to approve sanctions that also target the central bank, cargo flights and trade in gold, diamonds and precious metals. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
