ARFD to establish voluntary movement to support fair elections![]() February 27, 2012 - 12:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun wants to establish a voluntary movement to support fair elections, Dashnaktsutyun representative Hrant Margaryan said. Several thousands of people must force the authorities to hold normal elections, the format of their participation varying from membership in the electoral commissions to being proxies and observers, Margaryan told a press conference. “They will protect the voice of the people and not only Dashnaktsutyun,” he noted. Margaryan also emphasized the need to hold elections on a high level saying elections are the only way to change the situation in the country. In this context, he also mentioned that elections are a national security tool since people and political forces need constant renewal. “It will be terrible if the institute of elections is not established in Armenia,” he stressed. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
