Talks on facilitating visa regime with EU kick off in Yerevan![]() February 27, 2012 - 16:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Talks on two agreements, on simplifying the visa regime procedures and readmission have started in Yerevan. “Signing of the agreement favors the interests of both Armenia and the EU”, Rob Rozenburg, member of the European Commission said at a briefing. For his part, Diederik Paalman, Deputy Head of Unit for Visa Policy in the European Commission's Directorate-General Home Affairs said “the agreement will facilitate movement of the citizens, which is mutually beneficial”. “We hope our goals will be achieved shortly,” he said noting that positive outcomes are likely to be reached if both visa regime issues, the facilitation and readmission are being discussed simultaneously.
Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
