Buyers queued for up to three days to get tickets for the second of two shows by the U.S. star on May 2 and 3, which sold out within 90 minutes of going on sale on Monday, February 27, the South China Morning Post reported on Tuesday. Tickets with a face value equivalent to $200 were immediately being traded on the black market at the equivalent of $3868 each, according to the report. Police were called to deal with scuffles and allegations of queue-jumping outside at least one of 29 outlets where tickets went on sale. According to 9News, a second Lady Gaga date was added after tickets for the first show at Hong Kong's 14,000-capacity AsiaWorld-Expo venue on May 2 sold out within hours last week.
