Iran under no obligation to respond IAEA requests - top nuke official

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoun Abbasi said there is no reason to respond any IAEA requests, ISNA reported.

Abbasi referred to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) request on visiting Iran's military sites, saying decisions in this regard would be taken by the country's military officials.

"We are ready to receive the IAEA inspectors 2 hours before the IAEA proclamation for visiting sites of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran every day it happens. They can visit whenever they want, but there is no reason to let them visit any geographical part they demand, "Abbasi stressed.

He noted sites under the monitoring of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran would be shown and other places should be decided by other relevant officials.

The top nuclear official said the negotiation with the Agency was positive, "Since we should obey our national interests and the country's rights."

He stressed there is no reason to respond all requests put forward by the IAEA negotiating delegation, adding everything should be fulfilled under a specific framework.
