Armavia to get second Sukhoi Superjet in April

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armavia will get the second Sukhoi Superjet plane in April 2012, owner of the national Armenian air carrier Mikhail Baghdasarov said.

“The plane was due to arrive in March, but the delivery was rescheduled for April. They (“Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” company) have yet to learn to issue jets in time; first ones are a bit hard to arrive,” he told the journalists.

The tycoon also informed that the jet has already got Armavia’s traditional colouring and will be named after artist Mher (Frunzik) Mkrtchyan.

Armavia is going to replenish its air depot with 321 and 320 airbuses in the near future in order to “build up tourist flights”, Baghdasarov added.
