UN-Arab League envoy Annan invited to Russia for Syria talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia has invited Kofi Annan, the UN-Arab League special envoy on Syria, to travel to Moscow for “consultations” on Syria, a Foreign Ministry official said Wednesday, February 29.“He has received our invitation,” said vice foreign minister Gennady Gatilov, according to Interfax news agency.

As M&C reported citing DPA, there was no initial indication from Moscow whether Annan would take up the offer.
