45 CONDEMNED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT IN ARMENIA WENT ON HUNGER STRIKE

PanARMENIAN.Net - 45 condemned to life imprisonment in Armenia went on hunger strike beginning yesterday. As reported by the press service of the ministry of justice of Armenia, the prisoners demand a meeting with representatives of the OSCE Yerevan Office. According to the source, at present 51 convicts, sentenced to extreme penalty, are held in the Nubarashen prison. It should be reminded that since last year death penalty is legally repealed in Armenia.
