Armenians fail in European Championship 3rd round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish city of Gaziantep hosted the third round of 13th European Individual Women's Chess Championship 2012, with all of five Armenian players losing their games.

Elina Danielian faced her first defeat to Tatiana Molchanova (Russia). Lilit Mkrtchian lost to Nastassia Ziaziulkina (Bulgaria), Lilit Galojan was beaten by Almira Skripchenko (France).

Maria Kursova and Anna Hairapetian lost to Hoang Thanh Trang (Hungary) and Baira Kovanova (Russia) respectively.

The championship is based on Swiss system in accordance with the ECU Tournament Rules and FIDE Rules of Chess. The playing time is 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one.

Total prize amounts to Euro 100 000.
