“John Carter” action-sci-fi exclusive footage released (Video) March 5, 2012 - 15:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - With less than a week to go before the March 9 release of Disney's big-budget action-sci-fi John Carter, the studio is offering a 10-minute scene from the film, The Wrap reported. The film, starring Taylor Kitsch, as a former military captain, is based on the first of 11 books by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Transplanted to Mars, a Civil War vet discovers a lush planet inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter a princess who is in desperate need of a savior. Lynn Collins, who plays Princess Dejah, and Willem Dafoe, who plays alien warrior Tars Tarkas, are also signed up for two more films.
