Expert: Putin’s experience may foster Karabakh settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Vladimir Putin’s victory in Russian presidential elections will positively affect Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, member of the Russian Academy of Political Science said.

“Putin’s personal experience may contribute to Karabakh resolution,” professor Andrei Baranov said.

According to the expert, Russian president elect will intensify Russia’s mediation mission in Karabakh resolution.

“Russia is strategically interested in settlement of violent conflicts, establishment of stability along its Southern borders, drastic activation of economic, transport and cultural ties with South Caucasian courtiers,” he said.
