Mercedes unveils redesigned A-Class vehicles

PanARMENIAN.Net - German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a complete redesign of its A-Class vehicles in a bid to attract younger, female customers to the brand, AP reported.

The series has previously been considered a favorite among the over-50s since it was launched more than a decade ago.

The CEO of Mercedes' parent company Daimler says the new look is a sign of where the automaker is heading.

Dieter Zetsche told reporters at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday that customers will see more of the smooth lines and sporty character of the A-Class in other Mercedes cars in coming years.

Zetsche says the German company hopes the A-Class will meet demand from premium customers for a small and fuel-efficient car.
