Rural governor reportedly jailed for minor's rape

PanARMENIAN.Net - Syunik province police neither refuted nor confirmed reports that Hartashen village mayor and physical training teacher Azat Ghukasyan was arrested late on March 6 night on suspicion of raping his student.

Haykakan Zhamanak paper reports that several eyewitnesses claim he engaged in lecherous actions with a 14-year-old student. The mayor does not plead guilty.
