Turkish police seize 15kg of explosives in anti-PKK operation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish police have found 15 kilograms of plastic explosives in a dig in Istanbul as part of an operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Hurriyet Daily News reports.

Istanbul police's anti-terror department searched two digs in Istanbul's Zekeriyaköy and Bayrampaşa districts to discover 15 kilograms of explosives.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
