Armenia’s Youth Orchestra to perform Hollywood film soundtracksMarch 12, 2012 - 16:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - From March 15-27, Youth State Orchestra of Armenia and U.S. Embassy in Armenia will come up with a joint project in 8 universities of Yerevan. The concerts will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of U.S.-Armenian diplomatic relations. Youth State Orchestra of Armenia (chief conductor and artistic director - Sergey Smbatyan) will present the soundtracks of such famous Hollywood films as “Braveheart”, “West Side Story”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, as well as works by such renowned American composers as George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and John Williams. The concert series will be titled Hollywood Non-Stop. The first concert will be staged on March 15 in the main hall of the Yerevan State University central building.
