Armenia, Switzerland to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - During his official visit to Bern, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian visited the Swiss parliament on March 14 to meet members of Armenia-Switzerland parliamentary friendship group.

During the meeting further expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation was discussed.

Members of the parliamentary friendship group briefed the Armenian Minister on their activities aimed at strengthening of bilateral ties, also voicing intention to visit Armenia after parliamentary elections.

Nalbandian, in turn, presented major trends of Armenia’s foreign policy and actions directed to resolution of regional conflicts.

Armenian FM highly assessed Switzerland’s moves in normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. As he noted, neither lack of international mediators’ efforts, nor Armenia’s non-implementation of signed agreements can be blamed for any lack of progress in the initiative, but rather, Turkey’s failure to fulfil its commitments.
