Armenian PM: education system must be based on national values

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, March 17, during a meeting with intellectuals Armenian Prime Minister stressed the importance of equal opportunities in education, dwelling on RPA election program. Tigran Sargsyan called for equal access to education regardless of financial state.

“Poverty must be eliminated as it is generated by lack of education opportunities. The state must provide vulnerable community groups with education and jobs,” he said.

Armenian PM further noted that the state will ensure personal safety, equal rights, personal freedom, strong family and competitive environment for RA citizens. He stressed the need to take all necessary measures to bring the aforesaid to fruition.

Dwelling on reforms in the field of education, Tigran Sargsyan said that education system must be based on national values.

He underscored the need to include national song and dance classes in Armenia’s school curriculum, which would shape respect for own culture.
