ARMENIA READY TO RECEIVE AZERI DELEGATION AT COMING PABSEC FORUM IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - March 24-25 a sitting of the Commission on Culture, Education and Social Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will be held in Yerevan. Thereupon referring to the Azeri parliament, Olaylar Azeri news agency spread information that the Azeri delegation will not participate in the sitting, as Armenia "did not guarantee its security." Commenting on the report at the instance of Arminfo news agency, head of the PABSEC Armenian delegation, chairman of the Commission for Economic, Fiscal and Budgetary Issues of the National Assembly of Armenia Gagik Minasian stated the Azeri party had not addressed Armenia over the issue of its delegation security in Yerevan at all. "The information can be considered as a recurrent propagandistic ruse of official Baku," G. Minasian noted. He reported the Azeri delegation had earlier participated in PABSEC sittings in Yerevan. "They have always addressed us and we always secured them," he said. A similar statement was sent by Gagik Minasian to PABSEC Secretary General Alexey Kudryavtsev, noting "as always, Armenia is ready to receive delegations of PABSEC member countries."
