Vahan Hovhannisyan tops ARFD electoral list

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 21, ARF Dashnaktsutyun presented its candidates list of 85 members for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. It was topped by head of ARFD parliamentary group Vahan Hovhannisyan, MP Armen Rustamyan and fraction secretary Artyusha Shakhbazyan.

As Mr. Hovhannisyan told a press conference in Yerevan, only he from the party bureau was included in the list. He noted that ARFD kept the promise regarding shifts in the fraction composition, as a result of which about half the MPs of the current parliamentary group were not listed among the party nominees. According to Mr. Hovhannisyan, those missing from the electoral list have been tasked with serious assignments in other fields (it is noteworthy that ARFD member Hrayr Karapetyan was also excluded from the list.)

Mr. Shakhbazyan, in turn, urged journalists not to assess the list as the party’s ranking list.

The top ten of ARFD electoral list also included Aghvan Vardanyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Karine Harutyunyan, Armen Babayan, Aramais Grigoryan, Michael Manukyan and Karen Shahmuradyan.
