Hovhannisyan, Melkumian get 2 points at Individual Chess Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 2nd round of European Individual Men’s Chess Championship was held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Armenia’s Robert Hovhannisyan beat Eylon Nakar from Israel, Hrant Melkumian defeated Georgia's David Benidze, Gabriel Sargissian won over Andreas Hagen (Denmark), and Tigran L. Petrosian defeated Bulgaria’s Veselin Pantev.

Melkumyan and Hovhannisyan got two points each and are placed 9th and 23rd respectively.

Samvel Ter-Sahakyan tied the game with Viktor Láznička (Czech Republic), Sergei Movsesian played a draw with Sipke Ernst (France), Zaven Andreasian tied the game with Ukraine's Vladimir Onischuk and Hovhannes Gabuzyan will Vladimir Akopian respectively.

Arman Pashikian lost to Ilya Khmelniker (Israel) and Vladimir Poghosian was defeated by Austria's Andreas Diermeier.
