Armenian organizations to hold legal workshop in LAMarch 22, 2012 - 15:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The San Fernando Valley Armenian Revolutionary Federation “Rosdom” announced that in cooperation with the Armenian Bar Association they will be hosting a free legal clinic, Sunday March 25 at the Ferrahian School’s Avedissian Hall in Encino, LA. According to Asbarez, the free legal clinic is being provided to assist members of the American – Armenian who either cannot afford to consult an attorney on a matter of legal conflict or do not know where to turn for advise on a matter of legal concern. This is the second of the Rosdom ARF Public Outreach Committee’s community workshop’s in recent months. In November it hosted a substance and alcohol abuse community forum that discussed issues such as the growth of substance abuse among the youth, peer pressure, communication and treatment. This second community workshop hopes to pair the youth, the elderly and members of our community who seek legal advice with our some of our community’s lawyers, many of whom are locally and nationally recognized experts in their fields. The fact that so many lawyers would volunteer their time on this Sunday afternoon is a testament to their dedication to our community. Also assisting in the day’s event will be students from Loyal University Law School. The community members who have legal questions are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity for a free one on one consultation.
