The movie is about a couple of high school students, Dave, a senior about to graduate, and Aubrey, a junior who goes to a different school. They start a casual conversation when they meet at a party, but over the course of a weekend, their relationship becomes more intimate and complicated than expected. Kasdan, who has directed several episodes of "Californication" in addition to "In the Land of Women," wrote and directed the movie. His brother Jake and father Lawrence are also directors.
